Volunteer Opportunity

Woodlawn Plantation has invited BOWC members to volunteer for the Woodlawn Plantation Needlers competition. Volunteers are needed to assist and have a presence in the the rooms at Woodlawn where needlework that is being judged in the competition. The event dates are March 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. Volunteers would arrive at 12:30 pm and report for a 30 minute orientation before being assigned to a location where the volunteer will work from 1:00-4:00 pm. Volunteers who wish to have lunch should arrive at 11:30 am. This event is very interesting as is a wonderful opportunity to support the arts and history of our community.

The BOWC Bunko group will meet Thursday, March 11 at 6:30 until 9:00 pm. and again on Wednesday, April 7th. Do you enjoy tea?
Our area has many wonderful tea rooms. The Tea Time Group provides a great opportunity to get together with friends and explore some charming Tea Rooms. On March 17, the Tea Room Group will celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with a special tea from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at Starthmore in North Bethesda. And remember to Rsvp by April 5 for the special April 13th Tea at the Willard Hotel! This one is not to be missed! Click on the tea cup for full details.

Join friends from BOWC as we meet for a meal and discuss a different book each month. On March 16, the Book Club will meet at B Smith's in Washington DC's historic Union Station to discuss 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett.
